Alan Scheibner is one of the founders of Scheib&Spice Publishing, a small publishing entity created by him as the result of his having a creative interest to write stories.
Alan grew up in the grassland country of southern Alberta, Canada where he realized his stronger interest in books and a creative imagination were greater than an interest in the family cattle and farming business. Upon graduating with a science degree from the University of Calgary he has spent the last 37 years as an environmental consultant working both in Canada and internationally for petroleum, mining, and manufacturing industries as well as the Canadian government.
His ability to think outside the box and implement creative ideas into successful project solutions provided him many opportunities to work in countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia which often required this type of approach. His many related stories regarding these work adventures resulted in great encouragement from work associates and friends to start writing and documenting these adventures.
During this time period as a hobby he also wrote short stories for personal enjoyment. As a result Scheib&Spice was started with a focus on publishing these short stories as well as assisting other new writers.
